Philosophy of Education
An education is the best gift anyone can attain and teachers are those who make it all possible. A teacher is one who helps pupils, often in a school, who is an acknowledged guide or helper in the process of learning and I want to be that teacher.
The qualities and dedication of an effective teacher should be confident, patient, and always willing to help. Great teachers set examples for their students by modeling and I consider myself to have these same qualities. I strive to share my knowledge in order to help educate those in my classroom. Being exceptionally organized, dependable and an honest individual who works well with others under any circumstance are strengths of mine. My dedication and perseverance are driven through hard work and self efficacy.
Effective teachers include their learners by constructing student-centered lessons. I plan to incorporate a combination of hands on activities that include differentiated instruction so students will be excited to learn and remember the material. Children are extremely impressionable and need to look to someone to encourage and inspire a passion for learning. I believe that by incorporating these strategies and methods into my teaching style I have the ability to help my students become lifelong learners.
The teacher who can create an interest in their students to help them develop, progress and achieve any type of goal they set for themselves is a successful educator, in my eyes. I believe I can fulfill the duties of a teacher by encouraging, communicating, and being patient with my future students as well as in the school itself. I am extremely passionate about educating our future students and plan to achieve the goals and standards by using researched based materials and assessing their knowledge through student-centered activities.
